Our Story
Crawford Herefords was established in 1987 by Bob Crawford. A butcher's son, Bob built his herd around animals that were powerful, deep, long, well muscled and extremely hardy. Most importantly, as a family enterprise, he sought docile stock, which were easy to handle.

Over the years, our prizewinning herd has evolved to incorporate some of the best genetics from around the globe.
​
Following Bob's death in 2018, the herd continues to be run by his daughters Rebecca & Charlotte. Bob's breeding criteria still form the foundation of our stock selection. We aim to breed milky and meaty maternal lines, and strong, athletic, breeding bulls with good feet and legs.

Cattle For Sale
Our bulls sell quickly to dairy, commercial and pedigree herds. Our customers come back time and again.

We pride ourselves on the mobility, fertility and athleticism of our bulls, which we market knowing that they will perform and last. Bulls raised up here are tough!

All our Junior Bulls have now sold for 2019.

We have females available for sale. Our herd is a Member of Hi Health Herdcare and has tested clear of BVD, IBR, Johnes and Lepto. We are a TB4 area.

Look out for our Minlacowie Jubilant calves coming up for sale when weaned. Some of the first to hit the ground in the UK, they are dark, very long and grow faster than the grass!
We are excited to welcome our first calves by Romany 1 Machine in 2019. Purchased from Philip and Laura Vincent at Pulham Herefords, his calves have already been prolific winners in the show ring.
